Michael Novotny seems to know everyone in Malibu Real Estate - and everyone knows him. Always friendly, always funny, always busy, he has been selling and buying homes in the 90265 zip code for almost 25 years. For many years he owned Prudential Malibu, which he sold to Sotheby’s in 2014 and stayed on as Vice President. Nowadays he also works as a mentor, providing one-on-one sessions to agents in order to improve their quality of life. Throughout his career, he has been honored with several award such as Realtor of the Year in 2000. When he is not working in real estate, Novotny is working for the community. Since 2006 he has served as both a public works commissioner for the City of Malibu, as director and president of Point Dume Community Association and as director of the Malibu Community Emergency Response Team. For his efforts he was recognized with the MAR Community Service Award in 2016. Together with his wife, Kate Novotny, the Tesla-driver, and sushi-lover resides in Malibu. In his spare time, Novotny is an avid golfer who frequents Sherwood Country Club in Thousand Oaks.
