
Zee Avi is a singer, songwriter and musician from Malaysia. After posting her songs on YouTube.com, Avi received an offer to record her debut album in Los Angeles with Monotone Inc., and Jack Johnson’s Brushfire Records. Zee Avi’s self-titled album will be released May 19.
Describe your most vivid childhood memory.
My late grandmother would sing me old Malay folk songs when it rained and thundered to calm me down. Monsoon season meant double the lullabies.

Enid Blyton. Her books taught me how to imagine, and I loved getting lost in the places she created in her writings.
