Actor Reece Thompson was born in small town near Vancouver, British Columbia, where his mother ran a film society that showcased independent movies. From a young age, Thompson demonstrated a knack for acting and began his adventures in show business with voice-over roles in several animated TV series. As things progressed, Thompson acted in some bit roles on television and then eventually transitioned into film. His breakout performance came in 2007 with the Grand Jury Prize-nominated film Rocket Science where Thompson played Hal Hefner, a stuttering New Jersey nerd with aspirations to join the debate team. After Rocket Science, Thompson killed it in the film Assassination of a High School President, proving that there is no debate when it comes to this actor’s on-screen abilities. His latest role in the Magnolia Picture’s film Ceremony has him alongside co-stars Michael Angarano and Uma Thurman, and is set to hit theaters April 8.
