Pieces from BRC Designs furniture collections take contemporary furniture design to new levels.

By: Rachel Kane | May 19, 2011 | Design

By using everything from children’s building blocks to old piano hammers and computer chips to liquor bottles, BRC Designs has managed to create a furniture line that is strikingly different from anything you can find in the average home. Created by Benjamin Rollins Caldwell in South Carolina, BRC’s selection of chairs, tables, sofas and more can be considered equally prominent for their artistic appeal as their practical use value. Pieces from various collections have been featured in several festivals worldwide; most recently at the International Contemporary Furniture Fair (ICFF) in New York City, which ran from May 14 – 17. All creations made by BRC Designs are limited edition, one-of-a-kind or custom made.

I literally had to look twice at these collections. They are absolutely, jaw-droppingly amazing! Especially the sofas and tables in the first image, very inspirational. Even though I’m guessing these pieces of furniture are quite pricey to own they are brilliant nonetheless.
