Organic to Green is Better for Your Skin - and the Planet

Eco-friendly cosmetics is a rapidly-growing industry, but Venice resident Rianna Loving has taken the industry a step further with her body care line, Organic to Green.

After researching green packaging options for her handmade, organic products and coming up empty-handed, Loving decided to take matters into her own hands and develop her own sustainable packaging.  Deciding she also wanted to provide a much-needed source in Venice for people to reuse glass bottles, Loving founded the ReUseGlassBottles program, which encourages used bottle donations.  The bottles are cleaned, sanitized, and sterilized, then reused as unique, original packaging for Organic to Green.

Organic to Green’s natural, organic products include indulgent, sumptuous bubble baths, body oils, lotions, scrubs, and more with an eco-friendly twist and a reasonable price tag.  The brand even offers refills of your favorite products, further extending the life of the products and reducing materials used for shipping – which, by the way, are also reused.  The minimal shipping process reuses boxes and uses shredded paper donated by a local office as filler in order to further reduce the company’s environmental footprint and inspire others to emulate Loving’s eco-conscious business ethic.

Hotels have embraced the trend, and the brand is expanding with refillable hotel amenity products – a definite step in the right direction for the green revolution.  To pamper your skin – and the Earth – at home, get the one-of-a-kind products online at http://www.organictogreen.com/ or in-store at Studio Beauty Mix at Fred Segal in Santa Monica.  To learn more about the ReUseGlassBottles program and to help out if you’re in the Venice, California area, visit http://www.reuseglassbottles.com/.
