The Lindsay Lohan case is not over. The actress, accused of stealing a $2,500 necklace from a Venice jewelry store in January is facing grand theft charges and will have to appear in court on March 23. Rumor has it that Lohan will not accept a plea deal and could be sentenced to 60 to 90 days of jail time, but a recent turn of events could help her defense team: the Kamofie & Co. surveillance video showing the actress with the necklace was sold to the media last week and it could be proof that the store had a financial incentive to accuse Lohan of theft.
It’s a technicality, but it could work. Lohan’s troubled past includes a DUI case, testing positive for drugs while on DUI probation and allegedly shoving a Betty Ford rehab centre employee in Riverside last year.
