On July 24th, 2010 thousands of people spanning across 192 countries submitted 4,500 hours of video footage via YouTube. The purpose? To capture and organize raw footage for an upcoming documentary titled ‘Life in a Day’. Produced by Ridley Scott and directed by Kevin MacDonald, the moments filmed by ordinary people from all over the globe were transformed into an epic tale of a Saturday spent on Earth. The 90-minute feature takes viewers on an inspiring journey that explores different regions, religions, cultures, and lifestyles all running in parallel on this Summer day. ‘Life in a Day’ first premiered at the 2011 Sundance Film Festival and will hit theaters in America this July.
