Walk us through your most colorful childhood memory.
When I was in first grade, I had a huge bookshelf next to my bed with my collection of stuffed animals — each with their own special outfit and personality. Every day, I would talk to them and move them around to the different cubbies, so they could be with their other “friends.”

What is the strangest number you have programmed into your phone?
All of the auction houses — Sotheby’s, Sollo Rago, Bonhams, Christie’s…

Describe your closest brush with death.
am happy to say that I haven’t had one at this point in my life …  knock on wood!

If you could choose any five people, dead or alive, to have dinner with, who would they be and why?
The following group of people would make for an intriguing dinner party. Each person would bring such a unique perspective to the table. I could certainly learn a lot from each of them.
• My children’s children
• My great-great-grandparents
• Doris Duke
• Coco Chanel
• Diana Vreeland

What do you consider your greatest failure?
I try to live my life with no regrets, so I learn from my mistakes and move on rather than consider them failures.

What do you consider your greatest achievement?
My two sons, Oliver (6) and Elliott (5).

What is your most cherished possession and why?
Frank, my stuffed teddy bear I’ve had forever. He is my good luck charm and travels with me no matter where I go.

How will you spend this evening?
Taking a bath with my two boys, then reading them a book before bed.

Describe a vivid or recurring dream you’ve had?
I try to run, but I can’t …

How would you define love?
“The greatest gift you’ll ever learn is just to love and be loved in return.”
