With his staggering talents as a multi-instrumentalist, singer, songwriter, composer and record producer, Jon Brion is nothing short of a musical genius. Throughout the years, Brion has been teamed up with timeless artists such as Marianne Faithful, Aimee Mann, Rufus Wainwright and Kanye West, and he performs as a one-man band that leaves audiences breathless at every venue where he’s performed. Born into a musical family, his mother a singer and his father a band director at Yale, Brion’s talents came at an early age, presenting his obvious career path as a professional musician. Shortly after leaving school, Brion jump-started bands and contributed to countless albums as a composer and producer. With only one solo debut album titled Meaningless, Jon Brion is rumored to be working on yet another solo full-length album at Abbey Road Studio. Now at the peak of his career, Brion has become a Hollywood favorite for film composition, bringing scenes to life with perfect musical attributes. Although it is hard to obtain tickets to a Jon Brion concert, we here in Los Angeles are lucky enough that he occupies the famous Largo several times every few months.
