Jillian Barberie-Reynolds is a Canadian-American television personality who can be seen on Southern California’s popular morning show Good Day L.A. What is the most important lesson you’ve learned?
Never come between friends- or a couple for that matter! Even if your intensions are good, your friend will inevitably take her man back (after you’ve talked smack about him).

What book have you read that made a powerful impression on you?
Soul on Ice by Eldridge Cleaver, and Jane Goodall: A Biography by Meg Greene. I like radicals!

Describe your average Sunday morning.
FOX NFL Sunday pre-game show.  Get up at 5 a.m.; on set by 7 a.m. for rehearsals; at 9 a.m. do show; and by 10 a.m. home to Ruby & Grant to RELAX!

What individual was most influential during your formative years and how?
All of my figure skating coaches; they got me in line at an early age. There is nothing like the discipline of sports!

What is your take on the current economic crisis?
Frightening! It makes me scared for my daughter. But I’m very hopeful about our new President!

What are your thoughts on the overall importance of art in modern society?
VERY important! We need art in our lives. I LOVE artists and I paint in acrylic myself (great therapy).  I love Lucian Freud, Jeff Koons, Francesco Clemente, Robert Rauschenberg, Warhol, de Kooning, Ed Ruscha and don’t get me started on architecture.

What advice would you give to someone who wanted to follow your career path?
Get an education, a journalism degree helps- then be yourself! Eventually someone will get you. Lord knows, I’ve had my share of bumps in the road but I persisted until someone got me!

How do you decompress after a hard day’s work?
Massage! I’m addicted! Also, I love to give my husband and myself facials.

Describe your most vivid dream or a recurring dream.
It’s a recurring dream where I have to speak in front of a large, live audience and I freeze- so scary every time!

How do you define success?
Happiness! If you are happy, then you must be a success!
