H&M releases “Girl With the Dragon Tattoo” collection

H&M announces a collaboration with Trish Summerville, the costume designer for the movie “Girl with a Dragon Tattoo” to release a line of Dragon Tattoo-themed clothing.  This line will feature 30 items inspired by the film’s anti-heroine, Lisbeth Salander.  The designs are faithful to Salander’s androgynous, gothic look with several pairs of torn pants that could be worn while fighting off serial killers and other ne’er-do-wells.  A selection of leather-wear is also available for cruising on a motorcycle through the cold Swedish winter.

News of the line came in the wake of Rooney Mara’s feature in Vogue where she sported razer sharp bangs and poised in a Ralph Lauren dragon dress.  Mara’s dedication to encapsulate the character of Lisbeth Salander included a strict diet regimen.  For those wishing to emulate Salander’s style in a more accessible manner, H&M’s tattoo line provides the edge with a dose of wearability.

The line is available in stores on December 14.
