Friends Without A Border, the non-profit organization that provides quality medical care, extensive outreach and medical education for children in Cambodia, is hosting “Passage to Angkor,” its second annual Los Angeles gala on Tuesday, October 25 at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel. The glamorous fundraiser will benefit the Angkor Hospital for Children and related programs. On average, 600 children and their families arrive at Angkor Hospital for Children each day, and since its opening in 1999, more than 940,000 sick and malnourished kids have been treated at the facility. The gala, which is sure to be one of the most exciting events in the city’s upcoming social calendar, will include an exquisite dance performance by the Khmer Arts Ensemble, Khmer-influenced hors d’oeuvres and cocktails, silent and live auctions including Alfred Wertheimer’s famous print of Elvis Presley, The Kiss, and an after-party with DJ Mia Moretti at the hotel’s uber-chic lounge, Teddy’s.
The schedule is as follows:
6:00-7:00pm - VIP Reception, Meet Khmer Arts Ensemble
7:00-8:30pm - Cocktails, passed hors d’oeuvres, silent auction
8:30-9:00pm - Performances by Khmer Arts Ensemble
9:00-1:00am - After-party
