Fever Ray’s “The Wolf” for the Red Riding Hood soundtrack

By: Brent Tuttle | March 09, 2011 | Music

Karin Dreijer Andersson, the feminine half of the electro Swede duo the Knife, released a new song through her solo project, Fever Ray. The song titled “The Wolf” is an anthem reminiscent to a dark, moonlit underworld, and was composed for director Catherine Hardwicke’s (Twilight) upcoming movie, Red Riding Hood. Based off of Red Riding Hood’s trailer, in which “The Wolf” is featured, it’s safe to say that Fever Ray’s latest creation is the glass slipper to the film’s haunted existence. Listeners can expect a slow paced, electronic anthem of ghoulish hums and booming drum lines that will wedge flawlessly into the crevices of the eerie folk tale at bay.
