A Global Celebration of Fashion: Ralph Lauren Joins Fashion’s Night Out

On Thursday, September 10th Ralph Lauren was proud to join Vogue, the City of New York, NYC & Company and the Council of Fashion Designers of America for a single evening to celebrate fashion, inspire consumers, and invigorate the economy and local industry.  David Lauren, Eileen Guggenheim, Liev Schreiber and Eric Fischl hosted an elegant evening of cocktails and charitable shopping in celebration of the New York Academy of Art at the Ralph Lauren’s Rhinelander Mansion.  Downtown at the Men’s Bleecker Street Store, guests had the rare opportunity to meet Argentine Polo Player and Ralph Lauren model, Nacho Figueras.  Shoppers also experienced the “Create Your Own” customization feature which allows shoppers to design their own personalized Polo shirt.  Next door, the Ralph Lauren Women’s Store presented the complete fall footwear collection and the first 100 shoppers received a complimentary personalized shoe cover with purchase.

The excitement continued all over the city as a total of nine Ralph Lauren Stores participated with unique events and gift offerings in celebration of this special night.

Ralph Lauren Rhinelander Mansion

In honor of Fashion’s Night Out, David Lauren, Eileen Guggenheim, Liev Schreiber and Eric Fischl hosted an evening of charitable shopping in appreciation of art at Ralph Lauren’s Rhinelander Mansion on Madison Avenue celebrating the New York Academy of Art. An exclusive preview and auction of selected works from the Academy’s annual Take Home a Nude art auction was presented and artists worked throughout the evening to illustrate the Academy’s mission of training talented young visual artists. A percentage of the evening’s sales were donated to the New York Academy of Art. Champagne compliments of Veuve Clicquot flowed throughout the evening.

The Ralph Lauren Women’s store on Bleecker Street presented the complete fall footwear collection, and the first lucky 100 guests who purchased a pair of Ralph Lauren shoes took home Ralph Lauren shoe covers, personalized with their monogram. Guests enjoyed champagne compliments of Veuve Clicquot and an assortment of cupcakes provided by Magnolia Bakery.

Argentine Polo Player and Ralph Lauren model, Nacho Figueras, hosted an evening to celebrate the iconic Ralph Lauren polo shirt.  Ralph Lauren was pleased to present a limited number of the American Flag Polo, each hand-finished in order to create a truly unique version of the Ralph Lauren classic. The Create Your Own customization also was offered and guests were invited to
create their own Polo shirt with personal monogramming.  The official Ralph Lauren Black Watch shirts also were available and one lucky guest won a private Polo lesson with the championship player himself. Guests enjoyed champagne compliments of Veuve Clicquot and an assortment of cupcakes provided by Magnolia Bakery.

Rugby unveiled its new Make Your Own (MYO) Varsity Shop, Make Your Own iPhone™ application, and interactive window application, going live for the first time. Every item in the store was available for customization, including the official Fashion’s Night out T-shirt, with free alterations and a gift of an MYO patch with every purchase. Live music by downtown DJ and model Lissy Trullie and throughout the night, Rugby offered refreshments, free gifts and raffles, including a customized Make Your Own T-shirt designed and signed by Lissy and a new iPhone™ featuring the Rugby Make Your Own application.
